For Authors

Papers can be submitted in one of the following categories: Short Papers, Long Papers and Book Reviews.

Papers should report on important new research results in the field of computational linguistics.

Manuscripts are submitted electronically as a PDF file formatted according to the journal’s Style Guidelines through our submission page.

Manuscripts should include an informative abstract of about 150-250 words and a list of keywords and must be written in English. Reference works published in Cyrillic or any other non-Latin alphabet should be transcribed into the Latin script using officially adopted transliteration rules, such as the ones laid out in the Bulgarian Transliteration Act.

The submissions are subject to double-blind peer-review. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two experts in the relevant field (or subfield) of computational linguistics.

Papers submitted for review should be appropriately anonymised: They must not contain any information about the authors (e.g. names and affiliations) or acknowledgements. Self-references that reveal the author’s identity should be avoided. Instead of “We have already shown (XYZ, 2023) …”, please use “XYZ has already shown (XYZ, 2023) …”. Contributions should also avoid links to non-anonymised repositories: Code should be submitted as a link to an anonymised repository. Authors should also ensure that identifying meta-information is removed from all files submitted for review. Submissions that do not fulfill these requirements will be rejected without review.

Authors‘ names, affiliations and acknowledgements should be included in the final version of the accepted paper. At this stage, authors are allowed to use self-references, links to resources or repositories that reveal their identity, etc.

The formatting of the submissions should follow the Style Guidelines.
